Amanda Millar

The Number One

Amanda Millar changes lives.  She helps even the most reluctant communicators, talk powerfully about themselves and their experiences with confidence and conviction.

Part poet, part detective, Amanda’s been telling people’s stories for decades. She is a widely respected, multi-award winning journalist.  She’s been a change maker and truth chaser for TV current affairs programmes 20/20 and 60 Minutes, documentaries and as a media consultant.  Her work’s been well recognised (she was New Zealand’s Best Interviewer  seven  years running), but it’s the living, breathing examples of the lives she’s transformed that fuel her every day.

Charlotte Shipman

The Upfront One

Charlotte Shipman spent a decade in TV3’s Wellington newsroom as a daily broadcast journalist, on 3News and Newshub. She’s covered the country's biggest and most memorable stories. Now she helps people tell their stories with clear, concise language, to get the cut through they need.

Her law degree and word nerdiness mean she's razor sharp on making complicated things simple to understand . She’s ruthless when it comes to waffle and jargon.

Charlotte also makes sure clients are laughing within 10 minutes of a session (it’s in her contract). She knows she’s funny, but her children remain her toughest clients to convince.

Tennessee Mansford

The Zen One

Tennessee Mansford is the calm you’ve been craving. She is a trained mindfulness practitioner, journalist and yoga instructor.  Her passion is to help people be present when they communicate. To quiet the noise and help you deliver confidently.

Tennessee’s job used to be collecting and conveying news in a fast paced, time-critical and stressful environment. First, as a print journalist in Queenstown, then as a radio/multimedia journalist with RadioLive/Newshub. She knows what it’s like to be under pressure.

Now she’s able to help people control what they can in a frenetic world - themselves.  Her expertise is stress and anxiety management, creating focus and breathing techniques.

Her techniques are used in-house (literally) as she also (calmly) raises her two preschoolers.

Juanita Copeland

The Two-Sided One

Juanita Copeland has been on both sides of the camera. Asking the hard questions as a TV journalist for more than a decade and answering them as the chairperson of an established charity.

She gets it. She gets the pressure to get it right and gets people into the best position to cope with that. She’s put her own advice to the test many times and knows what works and what doesn’t.

During her time as a senior journalist at 3News she covered New Zealand’s highest profile court cases and pivotal national events. These included the Pike River disaster and the devastating Christchurch earthquake,  which she lived and worked through.  Once she left TV, she became a media advisor for Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA).
